Your data, explained.
This is the short, human version of our Privacy Policy. It covers the four questions people actually ask before connecting a school account: what we take, what goes to AI, how long we keep it, and how to make it go away.
Assignment titles, due dates, and course names — the things Dusk needs to build your schedule. We don't read your email, private messages, files outside your coursework, contacts, photo library, or device calendar, and we don't collect precise GPS location.
Two, for two different jobs. Gemini (Google) grades how hard an assignment looks and reads photos you submit for OCR. Claude (Anthropic) only sees your messages if you use the chat copilot. Neither is used to decide when your assignments happen — that's a plain deterministic algorithm, not an AI, so a model can't quietly reshuffle your week.
No. Both are under contract to process your data only to return a result to you, not to train their general models, and Dusk never sells or shares your data with advertisers.
Only your own data is visible to you — row-level security keeps every student's schedule and assignments isolated to their own account. A school can only get broader visibility if it has a signed data-sharing agreement with Dusk, which doesn't exist by default.
Your data is removed within 30 days, aside from backups that age out on a rolling 90-day cycle and anything we're legally required to retain. Email privacy@duskstudy.com to request deletion or a copy of everything we have on you — both are handled within 30 days.
Dusk is meant for users 13 and up. If you're 13–17, your parent or guardian can exercise every right on this page on your behalf — see Section 9 of the full policy. We don't run any advertising SDKs or use ad identifiers, for any age.
This page is a summary for readability, not a substitute for the full policy — if the two ever disagree, the Privacy Policy governs. Questions or requests: privacy@duskstudy.com.
